The BAISD classroom located at Verellen Elementary School in the Essexville-Hampton School District serves lower elementary aged students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. This classroom is housed within a local elementary school building, thereby providing the students with an age appropriate environment. It is designed to provide educational opportunities for children to develop skills to effectively and independently participate in the school and community environment. The curriculum is structured to meet each student’s developmental level. All students work toward individualized goals as defined in their Individual Educational Program (IEP). Parent and guardians are considered essential participants in their child’s education.
