BAISD operates the educational program that serves students placed in the Bay County Juvenile Detention Facility. Students are placed by the courts into this program. There are two different programs that operate in the facility. One program is referred to as the "Day Treatment" program. Students attend on a daily basis for one semester, but are not incarcerated in the facility.. The other program is referred to as the "lock-down" program. Students in this program are incarderated for periods of time that range from one day to several months. BAISD special education teachers for the Emotionally Impaired and a school social worker provide educational services to students in both programs.
